Restaurant staff attendance with QR codes and Telegram
In a restaurant, one late cook holds up the whole kitchen. Attendy is staff attendance tracking for restaurants, cafes, teahouses and fast food. Employees scan a QR code at the door in Telegram, and you see in real time who's in, who's late and who hasn't shown up.

Problems it solves
- 1
The kitchen isn't ready for opening
When a cook shows up half an hour late, prep isn't done and the first orders wait. Usually you only find out once a guest is already unhappy.
- 2
Everyone starts at a different time
The kitchen starts early, waiters arrive just before opening, and the evening shift comes in after lunch. Tracking that in a notebook or in a manager's head barely works.
- 3
Staff clock in for each other
In a paper log or a group chat, anyone can mark a late coworker as present. And there's no way to check.
- 4
Branches you can't see
With several locations, you can't visit each one every morning. And at month-end, adding up late arrivals and fines turns into days of manual work.

How Attendy works in this industry
- 01
A QR code for every branch
Print the code and put it up by the staff entrance. Employees scan it in the Telegram mini app — nothing to install.
- 02
Check-ins only on site
A scan only counts within 150 meters of the branch and with its current QR code. Checking in from home or from an old photo of the code won't work.
- 03
Today's attendance, live
See who's in, who's late and who's missing — no page refresh needed. Before opening, you already know who to call.
- 04
Late minutes and fines, calculated for you
Late minutes and fines are calculated by your rules. Export the month's attendance and fines to Excel in one click.
How restaurant attendance tracking works
You add your branches and set a work schedule for each. The default is 09:00–18:00, Mon–Fri, with a 60-minute break, but it's easy to adjust to your hours — for example, an earlier start for the kitchen and a later one for the floor.
- Print the branch QR code and put it up by the staff entrance.
- Employees send their phone number to the Telegram bot and are linked to their branch automatically.
- They scan the code when they arrive and leave — it takes a few seconds.
- You and the branch manager see attendance in real time.
A typical morning: the cook comes in early and scans, and waiters arrive in time for opening. If someone is running late, they show up right away in the late list — so the manager can call them and decide who covers the floor or the kitchen before the first guests arrive.
Why no one can clock in for a coworker
The biggest problem with manual tracking in hospitality is staff covering for each other. Attendy blocks this in two ways. First, geofencing: a scan is only accepted within 150 meters of the branch, so no one can check in for a waiter who's still at home without their phone. Second, only the branch's current QR code works, so a photo of the code shared in a chat won't help.
Suspicious scans — signs of an emulator, identical coordinates, impossible jumps in distance — are flagged for the manager. You make the call.
Multiple locations and roles
The owner sees every branch, admins see what they've been given access to, and branch managers see only their own location. Everyone sees only the data for their role, and all data is sent over HTTPS.
| Role | What they see |
|---|---|
| Owner | All branches, reports and settings |
| Admin | Data they've been given access to |
| Branch manager | Attendance for their branch only |
